What We Do
The HCS Temple was initiated in 2017 with donations from the HCS community across
Staffordshire and Cheshire. We are a strong community of over 1000 families in Staffordshire and Cheshire and many people attend the puja and major religious functions organised in the
temple premises.
We endeavour to perform all major Hindu festivals which include Ganesh Chaturthi, Sri Rama Navami, Holi Puja, Dussehra Navaratri Puja, Diwali Puja, Ganapathi Homam on new year’s day, Aadishankara Jayanthi and also Ayyappa Swamy puja. At these events prasadam is either cooked in the temple premises or sponsored by the community members. A very strong 40 member HCS volunteer group support with the delivery of Prasad for Temple functions.
With thankful generous donations from HCS community we are in the final phase of Sthapana, having completed renovation of the building as per Hindu Shastra and the Council’s Fire Safety Standards.
An altar has been prepared for the Sthapana of deities (Vigrahas). We are also pleased to inform you that we have obtained Granite statues of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy and Sri Lakshmi maata from Tirumala Tirupuati Devasthanams (TTD) and pure Makhrana marble statues of all the deities from Rajasthan. We plan to conclude the process of Sthapana and aim to appoint full time priest. An accommodation suite is being prepared for the priest within the temple building.
We have been advised to perform three day religious rituals for Vigraha Stahapana (idol installation) with twelve priests to perform havan, vedic puja and deity installation. The final Stahapana (prathistha) is a grand event planned over three days. Our trust board members will be approaching HCS Community members for their benevolent support with fund raising for the Sthapana.
